Vacant Position: Buyer & Logistics Manager
Approx. three days per week (negotiable)
We’re looking for a new member of the team to join our online retail company, Laserware.
Now mostly working remotely, our small team headquartered in Bristol sells own-brand consumer products - predominantly night vision devices - to 30,000 customers globally each year.
The company
Laserware is an omnichannel retailer of own-brand products. We source, market and distribute goods directly to online consumers around the world, primarily using Amazon’s fulfilment network to sell globally from our office in Clifton, Bristol.
Laserware identifies niche market opportunities where there’s a lack of choice or quality. We create brands specific to each niche we identify, selling our own product directly to consumers. High levels of automation means low overheads, resulting in great products at competitive prices.
Inventory is shipped from China and inventory pools are maintained in the UK, US and EU, where we try and maintain healthy stock levels to match demand. Managing the buying, shipping and distribution of our products has become a job in itself, which is why we're looking for someone new with previous experience in buying and/or logistics.
The Laserware team
We’re a friendly team of five, with four in Bristol and one in London. We use Slack for day-to-day communications, with a couple of team calls a week.
Between us, we do everything; product design, brand development, business plans, market analysis, inventory logistics, accounts and customer service. It makes working at Laserware incredibly varied, with plenty of challenges that require creative thinking!
